The Arcs, a band comprised of Dan Auerbach, Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon; also on the album are Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache.
In contrast to Dan Auerbach’s work with The Black Keys, this project gives him the room and opportunity to perform with a wide range of new instruments. The female vocals give an alluring texture to the songs by The Arcs. Their recent album, The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol 1, featuring Dr. John and David Hidalgo is a beautiful extension of the band’s sound and style.
The Arcs recently announced new West Coast tour dates between their two weekend stand at Coachella in May. Scan over the national tour, and dive deeper into their sound with the 500th NPR Tiny Desk performance.
