Okeechobee Music Festival, a four-day music and camping festival, will debut this March 3-5 in Okeechobee, Florida.

The festival recently announced a group of musicians from a variety of bands, that will collectively join together on stage for a spontaneous set of live music.

Longtime Bonnaroo SuperJam director Paul Peck will produce the show.

Paul Peck is a creative genius. His work at past Bonnaroo’s is legendary in live music. It is a smart and skillful move for Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival to acquire his talents.

“The most exciting live mashups pair unexpected talents and take them deep into the unknown, and outside of their comfort zone. That’s where real magic will happen and that’s what we live for,” says PoWow! Producer Peck. “This is a group of artists, each at the pinnacle of their respective genres, but this performance will obliterate genre barriers and create an epic dance party under the stars at Okeechobee 2016.” And Peck adds, “I love surprises, so you can be sure we’ve got a few major tricks up our sleeve.”

Members from Arcade Fire recently rallied the streets of New Orleans with The Jazz Preservation Hall Band to pay tribute to the death of David Bowie. The chemistry between the musicians can be seen below on YouTube.

They will collaborate with legendary musicians from The Meters featuring: George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste. John Oates, member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will share the stage with Kamasi Washington, Eric Krasno, Neal Evens (Lettuce/Soulive), Chris Karns and many special guests.
