Vintage Rock Spiked with Modern Punk

Los Angeles-based The Regrettes, lead by Lydia Night, and comprised of Genessa Gariano on guitar, Sage Nicole on bass and drummer Maxx Morando.

The band is touring the United States this fall with concerts supporting Sleigh Bells on the West Coast. Their tour will stretch from San Diego to Seattle with two nights in San Francisco at The Independent.

The Regrettes have recently released a vintage style video for ‘Hey Now’ on YouTube. Dive into their unique blend of old school rock, and modern punk.

It is refreshing to see the next generation embrace punk music. Recently I heard a rapper talking about punk and rap being dead. My theory is that these forms of art within music may not thriving in the mainstream, but within subculture communities, bands like The Regrettes are winning over audiences and doing well overall.

“My music is a spectrum of every emotion that I have felt in the last year, and you can hear that when you hear the songs. Everything that is happening in my life influences me. It’s everything from boys, to friends, to being pissed off at people, to being really sad. Just everything.” – Lydia Night
