Alicia Keys, Anderson .Paak, A Tribe Called Quest, and Dave Grohl Added as Performers to the Award Ceremony

Daft Punk will join The Weeknd at the 59th GRAMMYs this upcoming February 12. The Staples Center in Los Angeles will showcase the hottest names in the music industry.

After performing together at the 2016 American Music Awards, Daft Punk and The Weeknd will once again mix it up on stage in Los Angeles.

One addition to their performance lineup includes A Tribe Called Quest. I find that pick to display the range and direction the award show should continue to head in. There has been buzz about large name musicians not attending the ceremony. If they are busy, it is understandable, but to just blow it off because it is a not worth their time is contradictory to be a performer in general. Sure, mainstream award shows can get stale, but with performances by A Tribe Called Quest, that staleness will not be on stage during that section of the show.

In addition, Anderson .Paak and Dave Grohl appear to also be performing along side A Tribe Called Quest.

Overall, I find the GRAMMYs to be working hard to create unique and creative performances. It will be interesting to see what happens on stage on February 12.
