Apple's Projected 5.8-inch iPhone 8 May Experience a Delay

Apple and Samsung continue to rival for marketshare within the smartphone industry.

Both brands with be releasing new products this year, and Apple is developing and refining their iPhone 8 to out perform the Galaxy S8.

Apple is looking to have the edge over Samsung with their 10th Anniversary of the iPhone.

CNBC reported and spoke with analyst Brian White:

“However, our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3-D sensing technology but still in time for the December holidays.” – Brian White, analyst 

Apple and CNBC have reported the iPhone 8 will be available with 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch models.

CNBC also reported that the delay may take until October or November before shipping. The latest 3D sensor technology may give Galaxy S8 an early lead moving into the holiday season.

Techradar reported the release date for the Galaxy S8.
