Aside from the fire, the tech conference provided insight on the direction that Google plans to move in during the upcoming years.

One of the biggest announcements happened during Sundar Pichai’s keynote presentation. The CEO of Google debuted Google Lens, a visual tool that recognizes places and items with cameras on digital devices. The product will first be packaged within Google Photos, and the company will expand the application to other products in the upcoming future.

TechCrunch reported on YouTube’s upcoming developments:

‘Google announced that instead of adding text comments in YouTube VR, the company will be making shared rooms where users can chat by voice in VR.’
