Sit front row in high definition for the 2014 Southern Illinois University Carbondale Fashion Design Merchandising Student Showcase hosted by Macy’s, The Buckle, SIUC and the Carbondale Mall. The event was conducted in a packed ballroom on campus at SIUC on Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. Browse top tier fashion designers from youthful up and comers in the design industry.

One of my favorite collections of the evening was by Kara Elizabeth Hunt titled the ‘Bonded Collection’ for its classic look, and universal appeal. The ‘Pretty Reckless’ group by Shakerra Monet was also a standout collection. International fashion designers merged with national and regional artists. There was eclectic guests from the fashion industry, as well as passionate parents and friends. Large bouquet of flowers were showered upon some of the lucky artists. It was an excellent way for students to display their work on a large scale audience.

Watch designs float by the runway in our multiple video collection featuring the designers and models of the event. Currently we are still in the process of editing and publishing the film from the show. Please stay connected to the Crescent Vale Network for additional video clips to be posted from the event throughout the weekend.
