Welcome to the 5th Annual Hangout Music Festival located once again in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This year the beach is open to select guests, there is six stages with the addition of the Red Bull Sound Select Stage, and the event is sold out with close to 40,000 guests in attendance.

The Pre-Party provided high caliber performances by Girl Talk, Dumpstaphunk, Wolfmother and many more. 92.1 has a live radio broadcast streaming all weekend for locals that may not be able to join in the festivities. Yesterday, I heard an acoustic performance for Iron and Wine. Tune in for special live sets and interviews with the acts.

We are live on site this year also providing coverage all over the festival grounds. The beach is open for guests that partake in the electronic blu vapor tent, and Chevrolet also has a way for guests to get wet at Hangout Music Festival.

The weather on Thursday and Friday has been perfect. Current temperature is 75 degrees and there is clear skies above. It is just after 3 p.m. on Friday, and so far we have caught Ozomatli, Allen Stone get funky on the Chevrolet Stage, Balkan Beat Box turned things up with a scorching hot set and Ingrid Michaelson kept the crowd cheering during their set.

Up next: Claude VonStroke at 3:45-4:45 in the Boom Boom Tent. Stay connected for updates, ways to connect and more from the 2014 Hangout Music Festival.

Watch the event live with the MTV Stream.
