The Suwannee Music Park

Live Oak, Florida and the Suwannee Music Park is a historic site. The festival’s location has a rich music history, and an energy about the park that creates stellar live performances. It must be something about the south that brings out the inner wild child in all of us. Use our Google Map to zoom in and find the park beforehand.

Click on the Google icon in the lower left corner to access additional features that the platform has to offer in 2014. Google Maps is always updating their functions, and we want to point out their new features.

Map out your trip, and use Google maps to find rest stops, and other areas on the road with the new “explore” option for Android users. All Google Maps users can save their searches to easily pinpoint their location. If you are traveling to rural locations, (create screenshots of your map before you leave). This will help in case you lose Internet connection. It always helps to have an Atlas as well. Google makes finding locations on the go even easier than before. Users can now find out which lanes to use during heavy road construction. We hope you find the finest spots on the way to make your trip the best possible.

Recap with Hulaween 2013

Seven sets with The String Cheese Incident

The String Cheese Incident will host three nights, and seven sets of music during Hulaween weekend. They will be once again tearing up the festival scene with their timeless brash attitude that only gets better over time.

2014 has been the year of cheese in a way with their impressive summer sets with musicians from all spectrums of the music scene. Their 7 set run at Hulaween will most likely feature different styles of the music on different nights.

Stream their 2004 set on Halloween to get into the mood of October with SCI. Stream provided by: Timothy T. Pawlowski on Internet Archive.

Stream the past show and dress up this year. Silver Wrapper, Purple Hat and SCI encourage guests to become part of the show with theatrics and costumes that interpret their take on life after death.

“Do Not Miss the SCI surprise-filled three-set Halloween show themed ‘The Afterlife’ on 10/31.”

The Soul Rebels

Listen to The Soul Rebels with Galactic on ‘Karate’ that was recored in 2012. Get down and funky during their hot set at Hulaween. The New Orleans 8 piece delivers outstanding sets every time they hit the stage.

4.7 Review Rating out of 5

The Hulween’s facebook page has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 for their event. This number is above average for music festival reviews on Facebook pages. I find that these ratings and Google+ reviews will have more of an impact on decision making down the road. The rating and reviews show that this festival is taking care of their attendees.

Guests have added their perspective to the conversation collectively. Social media is an excellent tool to find out how management teams are responding to different situations in realtime.

Four days of music at Suwannee

Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress along the Suwannee River, SOSMP is one of the most beautiful live music venues in the country. At Suwannee Hulaween festival goers can get ready for the return of Spirit Lake – an artistic glowing menagerie of multimedia metalwork, paintings, sculptures, light projections and live performances that morphs the prehistoric-looking forest into a vivid dream-like space.

Suwannee Bluegrass Surprise

Always stay connected with #HulaweenFL

The acoustic instruments will be broken out for a special bluegrass set featuring some of the finest string players at the event. Look for members of The String Cheese Incident, as well as musicians from Greensky Bluegrass to be sharing the stage for this performance. This set should be a wet and wild time in the southeast.

In addition to the acoustic style with bluegrass the festival also has a strong EDM presence this year. Thievery Corporations’ Rob Garza DJ set, Emancipator, Shpongle, Big Gigantic and EOTO will all be sharing the stage over the weekend.

Big Gigantic Live in Concert

Big Gigantic has been cooking a powder keg this year as well. Rowdytown 3 sold out both nights at Red Rocks, and now the band is on their way to take stage and command at Hulaween. Each year this band finds a way to break new ground and keep their show fresh. Listen in for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis tracks in their set. The west coast love has been running wild in their set.
