Cabinet brought the bluegrass party to Morgantown, West Virginia on Thursday, April 2nd for the first time since October 2014.

Their show was preceded by Grand Ole’ Ditch, a bluegrass band originating in Cumberland, Maryland. Both bands are known for their upbeat bluegrass style that is bound to get your feet stomping.

Cabinet’s current Celebration Tour has carried them nationwide, and they stopped in Morgantown, WV on their way to play a 3-night run in New York. Anyone at 123 Pleasant Street on Thursday night would tell you that Cabinet gave new meaning to the phrase “rocked the house”.

Halfway through their set, J.P. Biondo (mandolin player/singer for Cabinet) noted that:

“Of all the places we’ve been, you are the most entertaining crowd we’ve had, and West Virginia really feels like home!”

Cabinet also invited Jody Mosser (dobro player) of Grand Ole’ Ditch on stage to play “99 years” (a Cabinet original), which really got the crowd jumping.

Watching the artists’ energy on stage was a sight to see. One of the biggest crowd pleasers of the night was Cabinet’s covered version of The Grateful Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie.”

We look forward to seeing Cabinet and Grand Ole’ Ditch at DelFest in Cumberland, Maryland and All Good Music Festival in Summit Point, West Virginia this summer!
