Netflix is planning to create a sketch comedy show, With Bob and David, 4-half-hour episodes and one 60-minute “making-of” special from Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and David Cross (Arrested Development).

Bob Odenkirk, fellow SIUC alumni, will be working with David Cross on an upcoming show. Odenkirk has had success in the entertainment industry with several shows, as well as Cross. They both have a knack for comedy, and should work well together.

Odenkirk’s brother has been writing and producing for the Simpsons, and recently sneaked a horrible SIUC reference into the show. Hey Bill, the last time anyone did the Saluki Strut, Jenny McCarthy was falling basic math classes. (I don’t really know if she took basic math, and for the most part, she might excel in the subject. Additionally, the Saluki Strut is not a real thing. It’s just comedy.) My older brother and I went to SIUC, the Belushi’s both went to SIUC. There is a tradition of raw talent being generated from the university. It is just nice to be apart of the legacy.

After being dishonorably discharged from the Navy Seals, Bob and David are back serving our country the way they do best, making sketch comedy. Four half-hours of brand new comedy featuring all new characters, all new scenes, and most importantly, all new wigs.

Odenkirk and Cross are writing and starring in the series, and also serve as executive producers along with Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk,Tim Sarkes, Dave Kneebone Tim Heidecker, and Eric Wareheim.

With Bob and David is an original Netflix Production. Abso Lutely Productions is providing production services.
