The Bonnaroo Music Festival is less than a week away, and the buzz is getting close to a fever pitch. 80,000 attendees will be gathering together in Manchester, Tennessee this June 11-14.
We will be onsite covering the event, as well providing media before and after the festival. Our history with Bonnaroo starts in 2002. It was my first year in attendance, and the first official year of Bonnaroo. Some of the attendees in 2002 talked about the festival grounds being used in years past, but nothing to the magnitude of the Bonnaroo Music Festival.
After attending several of the festivals, I would save my physical program schedule, but would rather just look at the schedule online to remember when bands played on certain stages. Each year, Bonnaroo updates their website, and keeps the lineup for each year, but I have had problems locating the schedule for each year online to review. In order to help with that, I put together a slider to give guests a snapshot of the bonnaroo.com website, and use it as a reference point when needed.
In addition to the schedule, there is critical time frames with conflicts that will leave guests with tough decisions.

Artists Go Head-to-Head
- Mac Demarco vs. Jungle vs. Gramatik | Thursday Evening | Psychedelic vs. Electro-rock vs. Live EDM
- This conflict is easy for me, I’ve been a Gramatik fan for 2-3 years. So, I will be checking out that set, and hopefully be able to experience some of Jungle’s concert for a few songs as well.
- Deadmau5 vs. Flying Lotus | Friday Late Night | Electronica vs. Dance
- After partying in This Tent with Deadmau5 in 2010 late night, I will stop by the main stage/What Stage to see how the setup has changed, and to hear the latest material from Deadmau5. I’ll also be watching Flying Lotus on Friday to see what he brings to the late night table. Flying Lotus has recently released ‘Never Catch Me’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, which will be performing earlier in the night, and may be able to jump on stage for the FL set.
- Bassnectar vs. Superjam! | Saturday Late Night | Amorphous Music vs. Old School
- The late night insanity continues into Saturday with a old school vs. new school showdown. Bassnectar will be hosting an EDM set that bass hungry fans will be urging for the most, at the same time, the Superjam! will be creating a once-in-a-lifetime concert live on stage. This conflict reminds of me of the 2002 Superjam! performing at the same time as The Dead. The 2002 Superjam! was stocked with the hottest jamband musicians on tour. The Dead represented an older audience, and the Superjam! was made up of a younger audience.
