Mamby on the Beach, presents by React Presents at Oakwood Beach in Chicago on July 11 and 12.
Oakwood Beach is located at 4100 South Lake Shore Drive, and will host a beachside festival with Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, Phantogram and several more electronic acts on three stages. There will be a main stage, tent in case of rain, and a beach house for an intimate setting.
Mamby plays off of the history of house music and the city of Chicago. The lineup reflects the energy that embodies the city and spirit. The late night music pushes the energy and audience to new heights across Chicago.
The MID, Primary Nightclub, Progress Bar and many other locations will feature late night performances after the festival wraps. Downtown Chicago will transform into an electronic dance music mecca for live music fans.
James Murphy (DJ Set) & George Fitzgerald will be hosting late night sets with breakthrough music to soak in after a day at the beach. Scope out the late night acts, and schedule for Mamby on the Beach.

In addition to having a live music atmosphere, the festival also draws upon Oakwood Beach for style and charm. Recently, Tribeca Film released a list of excellent reading material at a beach. I enjoy letting loose and dancing later in the day, but a good book during the afternoon could be a nice touch.
