48,000 guests traveled to Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, June 17 to see The Rolling Stones live in concert. The band is currently on their ZIP CODE Tour across North America supporting a re-release of Sticky Fingers with unreleased material.

Brad Paisley opened the show with big name guest spots including Carrie Underwood and Joe Walsh.

It was my first time seeing Paisley, and after seeing his live show, I left becoming a bigger fan of his music and craft. He took risks on stage, and I felt it paid off well for the Nashville/The Rolling Stones crowd.

Watch a recap of the show via The Rolling Stones YouTube Channel.

Brad Paisley is a well-known country music star from Nashville, but I had reserved feelings about him opening up for The Rolling Stones. It turned out to be an excellent decision from The Rolling Stones to play off the local talent of the area.

The sun started to set as Paisley went into his catalog of music. The crowd erupted when Carrie Underwood made a guest spot for ‘Remind Me’. I was pleasantly surprised when Joe Walsh hit the stage for two songs. Overall, the set was one of my favorite country music concerts I had ever seen live.

The opening act got the crowd amped up and ready for The Rolling Stones. It marked the first North America stadium tour since 2005-2007’s Bigger Bang Tour. It was my first time seeing the band live, and I was ready for the best in the business.

LP Field is the stadium where the Nashville Titans play professional football, but on Wednesday night, The Rolling Stones made it their home away from home.

Fans were able to vote on a specific song they wanted The Stones to perform in Nashville. They selected ‘Dead Flowers’ with special guest Brad Paisley. It was a southern celebration on stage during most of the show. It was soulful the way the band plays country music. I enjoyed the comical moments when Mick jokes about the depression backstage, and the large hats, (that he had been looking forward to experiencing in Nashville.)

Keith Richards wailed away on the guitar with the most charming smile I have ever seen. At times, Richards would be hitting wrong notes, but his excitement of being on stage would reflect back at the crowd. I loved every note.

Karl Denson worked returned on this tour performing saxophone after having a good run with The Stones in Australia.

After the show let out the crowd filled downtown Nashville with a rowdy atmosphere. The band continues the ZIP CODE Tour across the states this month.
