LOCKN Music Festival Mixing it Up in Virginia

Written by: Matthew McGuire

Lockn’ Music Festival celebrates Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady fifty year mark for Jefferson Airplane. Their concert at LOCKN will feature special guest performances on Friday, September 11th in Arrington, Virginia.

This historic concert will feature musicians ranging across multiple generations. It will connect the roots of classic rock with the energy from the current generation.

Fifty years ago Jefferson Airplane was formed. The band became internationally known for leading the wave of ’60s rock music. In 1972, Jorma and Jack left the band for creative reasons and have toured as Hot Tuna ever since.

In an exclusive Lockn’ Festival engagement, they will be joined by Rachael Price (Lake Street Dive), G.E. Smith (formerly of SNL), Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams (Bob Dylan, Levon Helm Band) Jeff Pehrson (Furthur), Justin Guip (Hot Tuna), and very special guest Bill Kreutzmann of Grateful Dead on drums.
