Mark and Jay Duplass, writers/directors/producers, are officially releasing their latest animated project on HBO, titled Animals.

Animals is originally created by: Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano, produced by Duplass Brothers Productions, and released worldwide on HBO.

This comedy focuses on angst brewing among creatures native to New York City. In the most populous city within the United States, these animals take the heartache of everyday life, and puts a comedic edge to their first world problems.

The animated series premieres Friday, February 5 at 11:30 p.m. EST/10:30 p.m. CST on HBO.

The two brothers released an extensive preview at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. After working out a deal with HBO to run the series, the golden era of television continues to evolve in 2016.

As television companies are expanding their services to provide content on digital platforms, such as smart televisions with applications, content providers are working with successful cinematographers to produce above par original content, such as Animals to consumers on broadcast and digital.
