SxSW Music 2016 has a wide range of new talent to sink your teeth into. Last month, the festival announced Ra Ra Riot will be performing live on stage. The band is touring heavily to start off 2016, and left an opening in their tour schedule in March.
Jon Favreau has noted that SXSW is the place where filmmakers want to release their motion picture projects, and I am seeing a trend for artists to release new music on a national/international scale.
Ra Ra Riot fits the indie scene perfectly. The band has a new album coming out in February titled Need Your Light. They are currently on Barsuk Records, and let their music stand on its own.
