Seven Bucks Digital Studios Team Up with The Rock
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson premiered a trailer for the launch of his new YouTube channel at VidCon 2016.
After working with some of the YouTubers in The Factory, The Rock and Seven Bucks Digital Studios have paired together to produce weekly videos starring The Rock.
On Mondays and Fridays the production team will release comedic videos with an edge of The Rock layering the digital pieces of art.
It appears the team is focusing on pop culture to pull in as many views as possible right now. The Rock is more iconic than current trends, such as Pokémon Go. He really needs substance to play off of. I suggest letting some of the YouTubers that have years of experience write some of the outline and blueprints to the videos. The more alternative, the better.
Another idea, is to help out the environment with his influence. Sony Pictures is currently holding a contest for a short film on ways to help the environment. If you work The Rock into a storyline on how average people can help themselves and the environment, it would take care of the creative strain for a week, and give back at the same time.
So far, I have really enjoyed the videos from the production team. It is on the corny side, but has room for improvement. I don’t know if YouTube understands the impact The Rock brings to a network. He is a true entertainment powerhouse, and can be one of the funniest people on earth when given proper material to work with, such as this interview with Kevin Hart.
Watch over this week’s videos, and check back for more from The Rock.
