A Sailor’s Guide To Earth, Sells 55,000 units in its First Week

Sturgill Simpson recent album A Sailor’s Guide to Earth has captured the attention of people worldwide. He shared ‘All Around You’ on Jimmy Fallon in late July.

He is currently touring the globe with sold out shows in intimate venues across the United States. Simpson will be performing at Farm Aid in September, and will be performing two sold out shows in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium in late October.

Simpson is originally from Jackson, Kentucky. His soulful blend of rock and country has been on fire this year. Simpson’s latest album was recorded primarily at Nashville’s The Butcher Shoppe. Sturgill Simpson was joined in the studio by Grammy Award-winning engineer David Ferguson (Johnny Cash, John Prine, “Cowboy” Jack Clement) and assistant engineer Sean Sullivan.
