Indie Rock from the UK Live In the US

Band of Skulls, based out of Southhampton, is currently touring to support their latest album, By Default on BMG Records. The band’s North American tour is kicking off tonight at the Royale in Boston.

Their latest record was produced by Gil Norton, with former recordings done with: Pixies, Foo Fighters, and Patti Smith. Band of Skulls recorded the album at Rockfield Studios near Monmouth in Wales.

By Default showcases the band’s raw talent. Emma Richardson performs bass, vocals, Russell Marsden works on guitar, vocals and Matt Hayward on drums.

“The first three records were like a trilogy, a piece of work in of themselves. We wanted to do those things, and we did them all. We took a breath, took a look at what we’d done, and started from scratch again.” – Russell Marsden

“We went back to square one.” – Matt Hayward

Band of Skulls is set to perform at Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas coming up at the end of September.
