The Swing States Voted for Trump, and Now We All Have to Live with Their Poor Decisions

Election 2016 has been by far the most dysfunctional presidential election in recent history.

After the election, it is only fitting to have a former reality television star become the 45th President of the United States following months of abusive language.

NPR and the New York Times have both reported that Donald Trump has secured enough votes to become elected the next president.

The most damaging effects will come from his tax plan, (which will lower the business tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent, once again showing the world that the trickle down system does not work) his views on the environment, and international relations.

On Jan. 29, 2014, Trump tweeted:
“Snowing in Texas and Louisiana, record setting freezing temperatures throughout the country and beyond. Global warming is an expensive hoax!”

After voting for the Green Party in the main election, and Bernie Sanders in the primary, I personally feel that my fellow Americans have been brainwashed by mainstream media to buy into a strict two party system.

One of the more positive aspects to Trump is how his tone changed during the election process. If he can continue to reform his destructive attitude, our country may have some hope in building a better future with foreign countries.

Clearly the system is broken when a former reality star, and an international real estate businessman, can become a politician in a few months, secure a win, and have very few people questioning how this happened.
