St. Vincent Announced to be the 2017 Record Store Day Ambassador
Record Store Day 2017 announced the titles that will be released exclusively through independent record stores across the globe on Saturday, April 22.
Each year, musicians connect with their record companies to release a series of exclusive vinyl records for a one day release. Indie record stores experience long lines, and large demand for the rarity behind the content.
Prince is set to release six pieces of vinyl for RSD 2017. The Zombies have two new titles coming out. For an entire list, link up with the RSD main website.
Jason Isbell will have a live recording from Nashville. The live album has a cover of ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,’ as well as original tracks from The 400 Unit.
In addition, they have announced that St. Vincent will be the Record Store Day 2017 ambassador.
“It is with deep honor and humility that I accept this ambassadorship. Rest assured I do not take my duties lightly.” – St. Vincent
For the past two years, I have covered and highlighted RSD. Explore past Record Store Day history. Check with your local record store for opening hours on 4/22, and arrive early if possible.
