Metallica, Lorde, Alt-J, Queens of the Stone Age, Above & Beyond, Fleet Foxes on Board for the 10th Anniversary Celebration in Golden Gate Park
The Outside Lands Music Festival released their 2017 lineup to a warm reception on social media.
Ranger Dave and the Outside Lands crew skillfully booked The Gorillaz. The festival was able to pull off one of the biggest headliner announcements of the year.
The Gorillaz next album, Humanz is set for release on April 28th. The group is scheduled to perform at Dreamland in Margate on June 10 as part of their own Demon Dayz Festival. This is the first major United States festival to be announced so far.
Additionally, Ranger Dave called up his old buddies in The Who to come perform this year. It will mark the 50th anniversary since they played the Monterey Pop Festival on June 16 to June 18, 1967 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California. (The festival is in August, but still lands just a little over 50 years from that memorable event.)
Metallica tops the bill with a live performance on their international tour. The band will be touring at stadiums and arenas across the globe, and is scheduled to showcase their latest material for the 10th annual event in San Francisco. It will mark the second time the band has performed at Outside Lands.
A Tribe Called Quest is set to perform their latest music from We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service. Stream their latest music with the YouTube Playlist below.
Queens of the Stone is set to make your bones rattle with their alternative rock. Tove Lo will compete with Lorde for top spot of the electronic/pop/female vocalist. Each act will bring a different flavor and energy to the stage.
Guests from all over the globe will connect together with top tier music in Golden Gate Park.
Tickets for this event go on sale Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m. PST. This event has sold out in the past several years. It will most likely sell out of tickets again this year with the stacked lineup they have announced.
