Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia are two talented musicians from Mali. They have won over global audiences with their unique blend of folk and afrobeat music.
The acoustic duo from West Africa sings music that stems from their roots at Mali’s Institute for the Young Blind. That is where they first met, and have been showcasing the beauty within music since the ’80s.
Their album Welcome To Mali (2008) was nominated for the “Best Contemporary World Music Album” at the 52nd GRAMMY Awards.
