The Congressional Budget Office is Currently reviewing the ACHA for an Estimate to send to the Senate
The House of Representatives voted 217-213 in favor for the American Health Care Act on May 4.
Currently the bill is being reviewed by the Congressional Budget Office. Once the CBO has an estimate for the Senate, the bill will then be reviewed by the United States Senate.
The Atlantic covers the pros and cons to the AHCA bill. They reported on the MacArthur amendment that was recently added to AHCA. This would allow insurance companies the ability to increase prices for patients with pre-existing conditions.
The AHCA bill is in constant influx. NPR reported on the politicians in favor and opposed to the bill.
