Cookouts, Block Parties, Fireworks and Quality Time with Friends and Family
Each year the United States celebrates Independence Day on July 4th. People throughout the country unite as one collective group.
AAA has recently reported that this upcoming July 4th celebration will witness a record number of travelers on the road. They noted that, ‘a record-breaking 44.2 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home.’ It will be smart to plan ahead when driving to see friends and family.
Cities around the country will celebrate with events and fireworks. If your city is not having a large-scale event, create entertainment with friends and family on a local level.
Grand Park in Los Angeles is hosting a sold out event with live music and entertainment. Their 4th of July Block Party will host performances including: Angel City All-Star Brass Band, DJ Jedi, Gingee, C-Minus and many other live acts. Watch a preview video for the upcoming event.
In addition to entertainment, Americans will join together for cookouts around a hot grill. It is important to practice safe food preparations around an open grill. Wear a hat or have a way to contain long hair when dealing with a grill.
Make sure to keep eyes and hands protected when dealing with fireworks. When using larger fireworks, read over the safety instructions, and keep a safe distance.
