The Concert featured New Music from Portugal. The Man's upcoming album Woodstock
The Pageant and KPNT 105.7 The Point hosted a live event featuring Portugal. The Man and Electric Guest on Sunday, June 11.
Bri Morgan, writer and media producer, brought up Portugal. The Man‘s upcoming album Woodstock a few months ago when the band started to release tracks online.
‘Feel It Still’ has currently 4.5 million views on YouTube, and is becoming one of the top tracks of summer 2017. Portugal. The Man performed this song twice during the evening with one version featuring Asa Taccone, lead singer for Electric Guest.
Electric Guest, a Los Angeles band, recently has been added to the NEXT Fest lineup. This film and interactive event hosts a select group of emerging music acts, and after seeing them perform live it reflects their progression as a music act overall.
The crowd lined up early around The Pageant to get the best spots possible for the show.
After we got checked in with the venue, we grab some tacos at a nearby Mission Taco, and headed in to check out Electric Guest.
Their opening performance was energetic and arousing. Guests lineup up at the front of the rail to dance and sing along to both bands. It was one of the few times I have seen a show at The Pageant, and the guests were not taking a break from the floor in between sets.
The headlining set from Portugal. The Man held a high level of anticipation over the crowd.
Lords of Portland took the stage with a heavy rock cover to get the crowd amped. The band also ended their set with a classic cover from Oasis ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger.’ They dedicated the song to Manchester.
On Friday, June 16 Portugal. The Man will release Woodstock. The band is touring internationally this year to support their latest album. Browse over new music, photos, and upcoming tour dates.
