Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler, Toots and the Maytals, and Moon Taxi have been Added to the 2018 Lineup

The LOCKN Music Festival has added a fresh crop of live acts to their 2018 lineup featuring Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler and a variety of genres to perform in Arrington, Virginia.

After covering music festivals for over ten years, I have personally never seen a major music festival announce a lineup of acts in combination with a schedule. That blew my mind once I had seen what they have accomplished.

Sheryl Crow has battled breast cancer and overcame the odds during the past decade. I find her passion for music to be admiring and infatuating.

I wasn’t aware of this at first, but John Popper, harmonica player in Blues Traveler, has gotten into an online feud with a person known as Forrest Rutherford. This kind of shocked me overall. In 2013, way before this site had any real traffic, I sent Popper an email on Facebook asking him to review our site, and provide feedback. His response was supportive and positive. It made me think about online interaction. For the most part, I find that the way we interact online is a reflection of our personality in real life. If someone is negative online, there is a good chance that will be reflected. That being said, I have also allowed a troll to get under my skin. My point here is that Popper probably did go overboard with the feud, but deep down is a supportive person. Success will create jealousy, and people with power have to be the bigger person in cases like this.

Social media tends to be split with each major music festival lineup announcement. With the amount of different demographics, there will always be people happy with booking decisions, and people that want to be salty over the live acts that take the time to entertain thousands of people. Overall, I am thrilled to see how the lineup is taking shape.
