AWS Plans to Continue to Accelerate Cloud Computing Services with GoDaddy

GoDaddy is migrating additional infrastructure over to Amazon Web Services to maximize their abilities with cloud computing.

The infrastructure they plan to connect with AWS is machine learning, analytics, databases, and containers.

As a WordPress Developer and GoDaddy advocate, I hope they will continue to speed up sites with the WordPress framework. Currently, the page load time for this website is averaging close to 7 seconds per page on the regular Web. Instant Articles, Google AMP pages, and other reduced versions of our site run faster in comparison to regular viewing. When we have larger amounts of traffic, that numbers increases.

It would be excellent for AWS to help GoDaddy manage the data in a format that delivers that fastest user experience possible.

“As a technology provider with more than 17 million customers, it was very important for GoDaddy to select a cloud provider with deep experience in delivering a highly reliable global infrastructure, as well as an unmatched track record of technology innovation, to support our rapidly expanding business” – Charles Beadnall, Chief Technology Officer at GoDaddy

In addition, Mike Clayville, Vice President, Worldwide Commercial Sales at AWS share his perspective on this business collaboration.

“Our industry-leading services will enable GoDaddy to leverage emerging technologies like machine learning, quickly test ideas, and deliver new tools and solutions to their customers with greater frequency. We look forward to collaborating with GoDaddy as they build anew in the cloud and innovate new solutions to help people turn their ideas into reality online.” – Mike Clayville, Vice President, Worldwide Commercial Sales at AWS
