The band is based out of Denver and has roots throughout the city.

On Sunday evening the weather was in the 60s with little clouds above. Summer has just started to kick in for the Denver area.

The soulful jazz brought out the best of Denver Sunday evening. It marked my first time attending a City Park Jazz concert. I found it to be relaxing and entertaining.

Emma Hayes and the Hip soaked in the sun and provided beautiful vocals with a crew of singers on stage.

In addition to a stellar vocal arrangement, the band also had a powerful horn, guitar, bass and drum combination. A keyboardist layered tracks during the performance as well.

The band performed two sets of live music. Families gathered to celebrate the start of summer.

Check out the City Park Jazz main website for more information on upcoming events.
