Boss Eagle Opened the Concert with Positive Energy

The temperature and vibe at a Lyrics Born show is always as hot as lava and his performance on Saturday, July 27 was another scorching hot set.

This marked the second time Lyrics Born has performed at the Levitt Pavilion, but one of the many times he has performed in the city of Denver. Musicians will often play up to the crowd, but the way Lyrics Born talks with the Denver crowd is similar to talking with family or close friends. It fits perfectly with the community-driven events at Ruby Hill Park.

Levitt Pavilion is one of the largest outdoor venues in the Denver area. The variety in music that they host is outstanding. Their model to donate to certain events, along with ticketing options is forward thinking.

I arrived during Boss Eagle and found the weather to be perfect. People danced and enjoyed his live set. After the show the lead singer of Boss Eagle provided some free merchandise to some lucky fans. It was soulful and a nice moment.

Two of my friends joined me for the Lyrics Born set. It was their first time seeing him perform live. It marked the second time I experienced his show. We all loved the performance.

Once I found out he was returning to Levitt Pavilion in 2019, I marked my calendar. Recently I have been listening to Lyrics Born’s latest album Quite A Life. The album has assistance from Galactic band members, as well as a long list of other talented musicians.

Lyrics Born started the show on Saturday evening with ‘Chocolate Cake.’ Later in the night he would perform an after show at MeadowLark Kitchen in downtown Denver. The kitchen put together a special chocolate cake for the band.

During the live set at Levitt Pavilion they also performed ($,$,$) and a collection of classic hits.

Stream a playlist of live tracks from the set on 07/27/19 on YouTube.
