BoomBox & BackBeat Brass, Dynohunter, and GoodSex collectively sold out the Ogden Theatre on Tuesday, December 31 for a special NYE concert.
The energy on East Colfax in downtown Denver was at a fever pitch on New Year’s Eve. The historic venue known as the Ogden Theatre held 1,600 rowdy guests. The venue was originally built in 1917 and opened in 1919. The venue recently celebrated 100 years of hosting guests.
On Tuesday night the bands on stage helped celebrate the start of 2020.
The crowd soaked in the electric sounds of Dynohunter and GoodSex before a extended live set from BoomBox.
The music was fueling the crowd throughout the night. My guest and I were captivated by the live music. We both had seen BoomBox with their different lineups, but never with a horn section. BackBeat Brass band was an excellent edition to their lineup.
BackBeat Brass not only performed horn instruments, but also percussion instructions. They were all loving the show, but BackBeat Brass were radiating with positive energy. They were on stage for the entire BoomBox set. It was my favorite BoomBox lineup that I have seen so far. It is exciting to the see different instrumentation that the band is willing to take on stage.
