Google has recently introduced a new update for their mobile search featuring live music events in local areas around the world.

This latest design provides users the ability to browse over events for the current day, the next day, which concerts are coming up for the weekend, and next weekend.

When I was testing out their new update, I noticed that the desktop browser was not showing the latest user interface design within Google search. Take a look at the UI design mobile.

Musicians and publicists will need to start having all their events added to public calendars on the Web. When I did a quick search on my smartphone for ‘Concerts in Chicago,’ I found out that Songkick and other sites listed live dates. Websites will need to inform Google to include their content. The process to highlighting data for Google is currently clunky and underdeveloped.

The update is still in the works, but it does give a quick glance at a large selection of live events.

Producers and consumers can tap into using keywords such as ‘events near me’ or ‘concerts in Los Angeles’ to get a fast and easy look at things to do with free time.

The video below showcases Google Assistant. It works similar to Google mobile search, but has different functionality compared to a standard Web browser.

In addition to live music events, Google can also help consumers quickly find coffee.

During a trip to Chicago, I was informed that my jeep was ready for pickup. After the shop misinformed me about getting to pick up the vehicle, I was left to try and get home in a short amount of time with no transportation. Google search was able to get me connected with a plane ticket, a cab, and a way home in less than an hour. It was the last ticket for the last plane ride to my area for the day, and I find that the speed and access that Google search provides to be important when in a rush.
