Elon Musk Releases Imagery to the Model 3
Tesla Motors is quickly becoming an international automotive giant with their ability to mass produce electric cars.
The disruption process has helped Tesla Motors take steps forward, as well as working to adjust with the supply and demand of audiences around the world.
After penetrating the market in Hong Kong, Tesla had been doing well with support from tax incentives that the government was providing for car buyers. This past April 1 a new policy was passed by the Environment Protection Agency within Hong Kong.
This has created a shift in price for car buyers in Hong Kong. It now costs close to $118,400 for a Tesla Model S 60, compared to $72,900 before the new tax policy.
This all being said, the company is releasing the Model 3 in the near future at a much lower price point that would probably not save car buyers that much money with the pervious tax incentive. Elon Musk recently released photos of the Model 3. Check out the tweet below.
Quartz reported in June from a Tesla spokesperson:
“Tesla is working with the Shanghai Municipal Government to explore the possibility of establishing a manufacturing facility in the region to serve the Chinese market. As we’ve said before, we expect to more clearly define our plans for production in China by the end of the year. Tesla is deeply committed to the Chinese market, and we continue to evaluate potential manufacturing sites around the globe to serve the local markets. While we expect most of our production to remain in the US, we do need to establish local factories to ensure affordability for the markets they serve.”
