The time-honored tradition known as the Gem and Jam Festival has recently announced its first wave of artists to perform in February 2022.
After taking a COVID-19 induced hiatus in 2021, the 14th annual Gem & Jam Festival will return to the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona, from February 4-6, 2022.
The festival, which boasts a collection of headliners serving a diverse set of musical tastes, will once again run in conjunction with the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.
Gem & Jam is no stranger to hiatuses. The desert fest took the year off in 2019 to refocus efforts on its 2020 production. Gem & Jam returned in 2020 as one of the last music festivals before COVID-19 lockdowns began sweeping the nation.
After teasing fans with single headliner reveals last week, the festival announced the full phase one lineup on Wednesday, September 1. Gem & Jammers can look forward to performances by main headliners STS9, Liquid Stranger, Claude Vonstroke, Lotus, CharlestheFirst, Rising Appalachia, Sunsquabi, and TAUK.
The lineup also boasts heavy-hitting midtier artists including Angelic Root, Daily Bread, Equanimous, Hot Buttered Rum, Goopsteppa, Maddy O’Neal, PLANTRAE, Tripp St., Yak Attack, Choppy Oppy, and ProJect Aspect.
Gem & Jam hinted at future surprises in the lineup announcement, so we should be getting a look at additional artists soon.
