Caravan of Thieves – live performance in St. Louis, at Webster University gymnasium. The four piece from Bridgeport, Connecticut returned to the Midwest for a string of concerts to celebrate their latest tunes and the warmer temperatures across the country.
Webster University held a cultural fair in connection to the Caravan of Thieves performance on Friday, April 12. Students from all cultures shared their traditions in dance, culinary arts, fashion and language to collectively create awareness for multicultural communities. The event was a big success at bringing together
people from different walks of life to find a middle ground with music, cultural and art.
Carrie Sangiovanni, guitarist and singer in the group found my group in the crowd before the show. We quickly got caught up, and she ran off to join the band for their entrance to the stage. The band took the stage a little after 7 PM and didn’t let up for almost two hours. Just before their encore break, Caravan of Thieves orchestrated the audience into an all out Soul Train/Worldwide dance party. It was a moment is time to never be forgotten.
“We are so excited to be apart of I-Fest this year at Webster. We’re going to have a party tonight,” Sangiovanni said.
This past December, the band sat down with us to talk about their music, group dynamics and future plans. Check out our YouTube channel at Crescent Vale for an extended interview with Carrie and Fuzz. Watch the band’s encore ‘Kiss’ live from the Friday nights performance as well.
