Grayson Van Sickle, banjo player, vocalist and founder of the group was living as a street performer when Katrina cleaned out a lot of the rice culture in New Orleans away from the city. He relocated to Eureka Springs, and reformed Mountain Sprout with a group of friends. Adam, guitarist for the band, is originally from Makanda, Illinois.

The New Deal, a pioneer of the “livetronica” sound and a mainstay in both the Electronic and Jamband scenes for close to eight years, toured through the Midwest in 2010 as The JOIN, and visited the Copper Dragon in Carbondale, Ill. This 2010 video playlist covers the Austin Reggae Music Festival at Auditorium Shores is located in downtown Austin at the corner of South First and Riverside in sunny South Austin Texas.

A portion of ticket sales for the Austin Reggae Festival benefits the Capital Area Food Bank. In 2012, this event generated $219,406.97 for this amazing total, thereby helping to provide more than half a million meals for hungry Central Texas families. Since the event began in 1994, the Austin Reggae Festival has donated more than one million dollars to this important charity.
