Emmanuel Macron is Elected as President of French Fifth Republic

The French Fifth Republic has traditionally been controlled by a two party system with the left-influenced socialist party, Parti Socialiste; and the traditional right, known as Les Républicains. On Sunday, May 7 Emmanuel Macron was elected as the youngest the President of France. His background is heavy in financial management, but he lacks political experience. The lack of political experience, and working as an independent, served to help him get elected with 66.10 percent of the vote. In connection with Donald Trump's recent political win, this also marks a new trend in anti-establishment overall. Both Trump and Macron had no political work experience. A difference
