Imelda May Spills her Guts with new record ‘Life, Love, Flesh, Blood’

Ireland-born Imelda May recently ended an 18 year marriage. She took the heartache from her separation, and made beautiful art with it on her recent album Life, Love, Flesh, Blood. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett, and was recorded at Village Studios in Los Angeles. May had help from the same backing band that worked on Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand.   Her management shared a quote from Bob Dylan. “Imelda May, I like her.”—Bob Dylan She will tour North America this summer. Additionally, May will also be performing select dates with Elvis Costello & The Imposters in June.
