The Sundance Institute hosted their fifth annual NEXT FEST event in downtown Los Angeles at the Ace Hotel from August 10-13. Film producers, musicians, comedians, and creative minds gathered together to share their latest forms of art with the Southern California audience. This year the festival had a special 25th anniversary screening to the Quentin Tarantino film Reservoir Dogs. The Sundance Institute has announced additional screenings and speakers for the NEXT FEST event taking place in Los Angeles from August 10 - 13. Guests will pack into The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles to experience screenings to some of the hottest films from the Sundance Film Festival. The festival organizers have noted: Conversations Ava DuVernay (13th, Selma) will join a conversation, presented by FilmL.A., Inc., with director Justin Chon after Saturday’s 4:00 p.m. screening of Gook. Also on Saturday, Gente-fied executive producer America Ferrera, director/creator/co-writer Marvin Lemus, co-writer Linda Yvette Chavez and producer Aaliyah Williams will be in conversation following the noon screening of all seven episodes of the series. Sundance Institute Announced the Film Slate for NEXT FEST 2017

The Sundance Institute recently announced the lineup of entertainment scheduled for NEXT FEST 2017. This year marks the fifth annual festival in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. It will take place August 10-13 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. Indie film and music will crossover during this creative three-day event.
