Summer Camp Music Festival News
The Spring season of 2013 has already been filled with more showers and cooler temperatures comparative to the weather the country received last year. Chillicothe, Ill witnessed warmer than average temperatures during the Summer Camp Music Festival weekend in 2012. Guests this year will experience a more refreshing climate to enjoy live music, camping and moments under the canopy.
Moe. & Umphrey’s McGee have teamed up with Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment and Jam Productions, Ltd. to collect over 130 acts to perform at the 2013 event. This year the lineup is stacked with a diverse pool of emerging acts and experienced artists. We going to be covering the event, and we want to give as much behind the scenes and access to the Summer Camp Universe.
Memorial Day Weekend is historical known for remembering the soldiers who died in the Civil War and in other combat. The holiday weekend has evolved to being one of the biggest travel weekend of the year. This year Memorial Day is on Monday, May 27. Please be kind to the land that the soldiers once fought for with their lives, and help pick up around your campsites.

The perks of upgrading this year are extensive as well. “The Summer Camp VIP packages are designed to enhance your Summer Camp experience by providing amenities and activities not available in the general campground. These include special VIP only sets by artists such as Keller Williams, Lettuce, discounted drinks in the VIP lounge, and more,” Summer Camp Music Festival.
Performing acts this year include: Moe. 3X, Umphrey’s McGee 3X, Trey Anastasio Band (two sets), STS9, The Avett Brothers, Thievery Corporation, ZEDS DEAD, Big Gigantic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Medeski Martin & Wood, Keller Williams, Diplo, EOTO, Big Boi, Paper Diamond, Victor Wooten, Everyone Orchestra, Tea Leaf Green, Orgone, Break Science with Chali 2na, Zoogma, Maps and Atlas, The Soul Rebels Brass Band, Family Groove Company, North Mississippi All-Stars, Caravan of Thieves, SPREAD, The Werks, ClusterPluck, Sun Stereo, Lake Shore Vibe, Zmick, Blue Rising and many more. This year marks the 13th year that Moe. has held that event and 10th year that the Family Groove Company has performed at the festival. Each band has a history with the festival. We hope to honor that history with our coverage of the 2013 Summer Camp Music Festival.
