Lotus Returns with “Monks” Ready to Drop on 9/10

Lotus continues to bridge the modern audio landscape with the September 10th release of “Monks”. This hip-hop infused album featuring Lyrics Born, Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), Mr. Lif, Doodlebug (Digable Planets) and more. Using the band’s own studio work as a sample source, the music will have a familiar feel to Lotus fans but recontextualized as classic hip-hop. Monks will be available digitally, for free via the band’s official website or on iTunes, and on vinyl (pre-order).

Chicago music fans will be in for a treat this Sunday, September 1. Lotus and Future Rock will be lighting up Chicago’s latest and greatest new venue, Concord Music Hall for two late night celebratory sets of music. The North Coast Music Festival will host Lotus along with a mega list of worldwide talent. After their stop at #NCMF the band will be hitting the road this fall for an extended tour across the states.

Lotus, BoomBox, Break Science and Minnesota will be joining forces for a special night of music at Red Rocks Amphitheater on 9/15. Make sure to catch their Halloween set at Metropolitan Theater in Morgantown, WV, (former city that hosted the All Good Music Festival). We are looking to catch up on all the new music with the band on 11/02 in St. Louis at The Pageant. Join the party this fall with Lotus on the road.
