Southern Ground Records presents Blackberry Smoke from Atlanta, Georgia. The band will playing on the Chevrolet Stage Sunday, May 18 at 12:30-1:30.
The Hangout Music Festival provides music in and outside the festival grounds. One of the key elements that makes this festival so successful is the people that make up the area. This is our second year covering the event. During the first year we met and got to know a group of locals that have grown into family.

On Friday, I stopped by to talk with my close friends about the festival and how their year had gone. They were playing Blackberry Smoke on their deck and celebrating the festival.
We listened to Blackberry Smoke and talked about the band’s recent rise in the music scene. They were passionate about seeing the band perform on Sunday.
The band has a strong southern rock sound, but tie toes in country and classic rock. They started up in 2000, but has been hitting their stride this year on the festival scene.
This year the band also has a strong summer tour with stops at Summer Camp, Bonnaroo, Summerfest, Jam at the Ridge, LouFest Music Festival and many more hot events.
