Bonnaroo Music Festival 2015 | Top 5 Acts

Written by: Matthew McGuire

The Bonnaroo Music Festival is set to takeover Tennessee this June 11-14.

We have comprised a top five list featuring the acts that I find to have the most heat. Each year, I review music festival lineups, and count the amount of bands that I have not seen, that I want to see perform live on stage. Bonnaroo usually has the most number of acts every year. This year there is 23 acts that I have not seen, that are on the radar.

This list is comprised of acts that if I have seen before, or they have the ability to reinvent their sound. Billy Joel is a true music icon. I respect everything he has done in the music industry, but when I put together a top five list, it is never to undermine music legends, but rather give birth to a new generation. That being said, he is my top five acts performing at the Bonnaroo Music Festival 2015.

This top five list is also to pay homage to Chris Rock’s latest film Top Five. In the film he asks who is your top five rappers/lyricists of all time. Browse our top five list for lyricists. Our sixth pick for the Bonnaroo 2015 list is The Very Best.

The Bonnaroo top five list showcases artists pushing boundaries in the music industry, as well taking their genre to new levels.

  1. Florence + The Machine
  2. Kendrick Lamar
  3. Gramatik
  4. Punch Brothers
  5. My Morning Jacket
