SxSW Film kicks off today with dozens of films being released in Austin, Texas all over town. We have the run down on some of the hottest films that are screening tonight at South by Southwest.

• Knock, Knock is a film set in the Midnight Shorts Competition in the World Premiere category. Jeff Betancourt, director puts together a thrilling tale in under 15 minutes.

• City of Gold, directed by Laura Gabbert, originally brought the film to Sundance Film Festival, and is now venturing over to Austin, Texas to screen the film on the first day at SxSW Film.

• T-Rex, Zack and Drea teamed up to produce the award-winning short doc series California is a place.

• Detective Calzone, comedy created by Austin Tolin was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. He brings is raw frame to SxSW Film.
