Arise Music Festival Hosts Environmental Educative Workshops

Arise Music Festival has added a special set featuring Larry Keel All-Star tribute to Jerry Garcia, as well as a Grateful Dead-inspired set by Joe Russo and his live band to their packed lineup. The spirit of the Dead’s 50th Anniversary will be in the air in Loveland, Colorado.

The festival will host live acts including: Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, The Polish Ambassador, Emancipator Ensemble, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Ozomatli, Trevor Hall, Stick Figure, Rising Appalachia, and dozens more artists.

Organized by a collective of artists, musicians and activists the Arise Music Festival sets out to educate participants on local, regional and national environmental issues, as well as provide health and lifestyle oriented classes for participants of all ages and varied interests.

Josh Fox, director of Gasland is set to take part in the open discussions on environmental awareness. He will take the live music experience to the next level with ways to enrich everyday life.

Arise hosts educational workshopsindependent documentary films and guest celebrity-activists; festival promoters hope fans will take much more than just a good time from their festival experience.

Larry Keel’s All-Star Tribute to Jerry Garcia Lineup

The Arise Music Festival presents: Larry Keel’s All-Star Tribute to Jerry GarciaDave Watts (The Motet),Chris “C-Bob” Elliot (Springcreek) Joe Lessard (Head for the Hills), Paul Murin(DeadPhish Orchestra) Ted Tilton (DeadPhish Orchestra) and an additional name to be announced July 31st.

The festival is honored to celebrate the life of Jerry Garcia, the Grateful Dead guitar legend, on the 20th anniversary of his passing, Sunday, August 9th.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead will also be paying tribute to The Grateful Dead at the festival this year on Saturday.
