UnREAL, a television show produced by Lifetime, originally started as a short, expanded into a film that was released at SXSW, and now is a show on a major network.

Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, producer and creator, goes over how the film was already picked up before releasing it at SXSW, and the golden age of television.

The second rise of television is occurring right now due to the demand created for series-based projects for consumers to watch on demand.

UnREAL shows the behind the scenes nature and personalities that go into creating a reality show. As reality television continues to soak in its 15 years of fame, the audience, and production teams continue to attempt to update a cheap and flawed approach to filmmaking.

That is exactly what UnREAL uncovers in their show. The flaws that play into reality television.

Constance Zimmerman works on this show, and shines as a lead producer of the fictitious dating show in UnREAL. Her strength and wit make a delightful combination.
