G. Love and the Special Sauce have teamed up with Lucinda Williams to pay respect to Lead Belly’s ‘New York City’ for their upcoming record Love Saves The Day.

The video below shows how Garrett and Lucinda meet, and instantly become enamored with one another. The film doesn’t lie, and showcases the core of the band’s upcoming album.

Love Saves The Day features special guests: Lucinda Williams, Citizen Cope, Ozomatli, DJ Logic, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos and more.
