SXSW hosted a panel discussion with Paul Rosenberg, music manager, Wiz Khalifa, artist and Trevor Andrew, artist/athlete to go over the parallels between music and sports.

The audience brought up a lot of good points on foresight behind the decision making process. This discussion did an excellent job of connecting two major fields of creative energy.

During the Q & A with the audience a music producer made a proposition to Wiz about how to connect with an established artist. Wiz responded in candid fashion.

“You got any weed?”

The response got a good laugh from the audience, but also did give insight on how to talk with more established artists. Behind Khalifa’s answer is a deeper answer. If up and coming producers do want to work with more established artists, offer them something that desire.

“I think they are just fans regardless. I think that people that are identifying through the sport or through the music is like that common area that people can just relate to.” – Trevor Andrew
