The Hangout Music Festival has announced its 2016 lineup, and Strangers You Know has been added to the fold. Each year, the festival hosts an array of breakthrough talent in Gulf Shores, Alabama on the beach.

Since 2013, we have covered and reviewed the festival. This year, we plan to showcase one act a week for the next 6 months. We will highlight over 20 of the acts that will be performing at the event.

This week kicks off with Strangers You Know from Los Angeles. The southwest trio are lining up a hot summer tour with the Hangout Music Festival being their starting off point. The festival serves as a launchpad, similar to Coachella, in the way that it gives live acts the opportunity to build exposure and momentum within their career.

Stranger You Know produce a pop-structured sound that translates between analog and digital genres. In addition, the band crosses over the electronic dance scene with acoustic instrumentation. ‘Shoot Me Down’ displays the depth in recording style within the group.
